THE
PRICES
Pet puppies, Limited Registration (No Breeding Rights) -
$2300.00. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will hold shih tzu pup. (Deposit goes towards the purchase price.) The remaining purchase price will be due at the time of pick up or prior to shipping your puppy.

Adult (18mths or older) - $0 to 1000.00 & new owner will provide alter cost/teeth cleaning. A $300.00 (this goes towards the purchase price) non-refundable deposit will hold shih tzu adult until future pick up date.

THE
FIRST RIGHT OF RECOVERY
In the event that you cannot keep your shih tzu you have received from us no matter the age, it is required that you
contact us first. Ryan's Shih Tzu retains the First Right of Recovery of the shih tzu before any action is taken. This shih tzu must NEVER be sold or placed in/with a pet store, broker, puppy mill, lab, or surrendered to a shelter/human society.
YOU'RE RESPONSIBILITY
You as the owner are required to ALWAYS provide proper care for your shih tzu including up to date on vaccinations, grooming, good nutrition & regular veterinary visits, etc.. You agree to never allow the shih tzu to live outside or in a kennel or used as someone's puppy producer! You agree to keep the shih tzu at home and away from public places and other dogs for 10 days after receiving your shih tzu and until after the third and/or final puppy vaccination.
It will be required that the puppy be spayed/neutered. Dates for spay/neuter are to be adhered to on this contract. AKC (American Kennel Club) papers will be mailed to you after proof is provided/verified.

RYAN'S SHIH TZU RESPONSIBILITY
No shih tzu puppy leaves our home any younger than 9 - 12 weeks of age. Your shih tzu will be up to date on age appropriate vaccinations (puppies: DHPP, de-wormed). Vaccination booklet will be provided with each shih tzu. Our puppies will come pre-spoiled, healthy, pre-socialized, paper pad trained, groomed, water bottle trained and will leave here with their own water bottle/toys/treats. Ninety-eight percent of our shih tzu, past or present has had their dew claws removed. We only produce pure bred shih tzu & we take no responsibility for shih tzu changing color. We are available to all our placed shih tzu owners for the Life Time of their shih tzu.

ONE YEAR PUPPY HEALTH GUARANTEE
Our 1 year puppy health guarantee starts when you pick up your shih tzu. It protects you the new puppy owner if your puppy would have a hereditary defect that would result in death of puppy or if the quality of life is affected that the puppy will need to be euthanized before the age of one year. A full refund of the purchase price will be given no later than 60 days from the determination date by a non bias veterinarian and a final report from the examining veterinarian is received by Ryan's Shih Tzu for this one year guarantee to hold up. Ryan's Shih tzu/breeder will not be responsible for any medical costs occurred by puppy owner.

IMPORTANT HEALTH INFORMATION
Umbilical (belly button) hernias are common in the shih tzu and are not considered a health problem as long as the opening is small, with only a fat pad (no intestines) protruding, it will likely close by itself as the puppy matures (usually by 6 months of age). If at the time of spay/neuter and the umbilical hernia still exists, then a minor surgical repair to the area will resolve the hernia. As with the slightly pinched nostrils caused by teething or genetics, many veterinarians unfamiliar with the breed are much too quick to recommend surgery. It is recommended the puppy be allowed to mature before making a decision if surgery is needed.
(18 months of age is when the shih tzu is considered full grown/mature.)

Should the shih tzu develop a major communicable disease i.e.: distemper, parvovirus within seven (7) days from the date of pick up from Ryan's Shih Tzu, then you must notify us immediately and we will provide instructions for refund or replacement of the shih tzu, provided written proof from a licensed veterinarian is present. Cost of return trip or shipment is not the responsibility of Ryan's Shih Tzu.
NUTRITION & FOOD
Our puppies begin "Life's Abundance dog food" when starting dry food because of the healthy benefits it provides. Life's Abundance Premium Healthy Food is a holistic dog food with no wheat, corn, soy or by-products. Please note: Providing a higher nutritious valued food, helps to support the whole dog & prevents fewer vet bills, and promotes longer life. We believe it is crucial for your puppy to continue Life's Abundance dog food and Life's Abundance Nutritional System through their lifetime. The Agility Supplement can be started when the puppy is 6 months old.
SHIPPING
If you are having your shih tzu shipped you are responsible for all shipping charges, (i.e.: airfare, insurance on the shih tzu, health certificate, and crate). This usually costs about $250.00. Once the shih tzu is taken to the airport and leaves the ground, Ryan's Shih Tzu is no longer responsible. Please contact the airline. The purchase price and any other expenses must be paid in full before the shih tzu will be shipped.
Professional Pet Nanny - approximate cost $450.00.
We don't allow third party people to pick up your shih tzu.
